Minutes – Board Meeting

President Lisa Kauffman called the meeting to order at 8:35am.  Board Officers present: Floriana Martinez, Tim Orrange, Amanda Kleidermacher, Bruce Barham, Mary Porges, and Toni Anderson.  

Agenda item #1 – Teacher Appreciation Week – Carolyn West
-    Goal is to stay in budget, parents could bring other items
-    Also that week – book fair, Festa Junina, PTA dinner meeting (teacher’s dinner free)

Agenda item # 2 – Book Fair – Tony Porro
-    Books arrive April 30th, set up is a concern

Agenda item # 3 – Other – Lisa Kauffman
-    Wednesday May 6th is General Dinner Meeting – food will be provided for free but donations are accepted
-    PTA needs procedure books for each position / committees
-    Spring Arts Festival is Tuesday April 28th and being organized by Ms. Fuller, Art Department needs magazines
-    June 27th is National PTA Convention in Ft. Lauderdale
-    April 23rd is election for Dade County PTA officers
-    July 10th-12th is PTA Leadership Conference in Innsbrook, Tampa
-    PTA positions for Memebership and Corresponding Secretary are still needed for next year

Agenda item # 4 – Earth Day – Suzie Sponder
-    Need bottles of water, we have some in storage
-    Would like to donate Earth T-shirts to ladies in cafeteria

Agenda item # 5 – AR Field Trip – Amanda Kliedermacher
-    Trip is May 21st to Dolphin Mall for bowling

Agenda item # 6 – Budget Update – Tim Orrange
-    We have about $30,000 in the bank
